The teenage years can be a chaotic and confusing time in anyone’s life. It’s a time when a teenager is trying to fit into the body they are growing. I remember a lot of bad acne and horrible choices in makeup. This is a crucial time to the development of one’s self esteem, and looks seem to mean so much. Why not help your favorite teenager make the best of their appearance so they can move on to worrying about more important things, like their studies!
I know that my skin was a wreck during my teenage years. I had horrible acne that seemed to never go away. After trying everything on the market, I had to go on harsh medication with intense side effects to finally get rid of it. Before getting a prescription, try out some of our natural products.
To improve acne-covered skin, have your teen cleanse with our Foaming Cleansing Gel. This is going to get a deep clean feeling. Apply Sea Mist Toner to a cotton ball and gently rub all over the face and neck. Rub 3-7 drops of Blemish Serum into the skin, and then mist it with a bit of Activator. Gently work the Activator in. Finish the regimen by applying the Anti-Acne Moisturizer.
Once a week, I suggest replacing the Foaming Cleansing Gel with the Algaé Deep Pore Cleanser. This exfoliates without using beads that could scratch the skin.
Twice a week, have them treat their face to the Anti-Acne Mask. Have them apply it all over the neck and face, but not their eyelids. This stays on for ten minutes. This mask will help remove all of the excess oils that are clogging pores.
Once my teenage skin cleared up, I still remember having acne scars. For me, these were just as bad as having blemishes. Our Cérum Vitamin C Therapy will help the skin repair its cells and reduce acne scars. This is an anti-aging product, but can benefit young skin as well.
Makeup application is another trouble that your teen might have. I remember overdoing it because I didn’t know how much was appropriate. If you notice your teen heading off to school wearing a pound of black eye shadow, it might be time for a makeup lesson. DePasquale The Spa in Morris Plains, New Jersey offers an Introduction to Make Up Lesson that is specifically geared towards teenagers. This teaches techniques, colors, and trends. They will learn how to enhance their natural beauty, rather than just making attempts at copying what they see in the media. Let them know that they can learn how to do makeup in a way that will still allow them to express their specific style. The last thing that you want them to think is that you want to change something about them.
Looks aren’t everything, but your teen doesn’t know that yet! Hopefully after following these tips your teen will gain confidence and let their beauty shine.
